Chosen

Jeremiah 1: 5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” God has said this to each and every one of us. We have been chosen by God for various purposes. Jeremiah tried to respond with excuses for why he could not be the one chosen by God. Often times we find ourselves doing this in our own lives. We make up excuses such as I do not have enough time or I am too young. God responds to us by saying, “Do not be afraid for I am with you to deliver you.”

Being chosen by God can seem a daunting task. Sometimes it requires us to stand outside of our comfort zone. It often times requires us to take a closer look at our own lives. What has God chosen you for? Take some time as we come upon summer to listen for where God has chosen you to be. Do not be afraid of what you have been chosen for because God will walk with you. You are his chosen ones and he will always love you.
